My First Book
My story begins with my family background and where I grew up then follows into the connection between music and art, and then the pondering question of what an artist might look like and how an artist might feel. Readers will be taken along my journey as an artist, music lover, entrepreneur, writer and face painter as I share my adventures, travels, insights and reflections. The purpose of this book is for my readers to become motivated in reaching their own goal of becoming an artist – and by learning how I overcame self-doubt and limiting beliefs, they will realize they too have a unique gift that is worthy of sharing with the world. I couldn't have written this book without the constant presence of the Holy Spirit guiding me.
My Art
Music, art and writing have always been my passion. I am a native of Northern California and reside in Modesto. I studied fine arts and graphic design at the Academy of Art,
San Francisco and have exhibited my work in art shows including solo exhibits. I have been a member of various art leagues and associations and have had the pleasure of leading the popular paint nights. In 2016, my Healing Hearts Tree painting was used for the front cover of a booklet for grieving children.
Select gift shops along the Pacific Coast Highway in Northern California sell postcards of my Redwoods sketches. I credit my Humboldt County collection to the local photographers for the inspiration.
My Face Painting
I established my face painting business in 2009, and I work at corporate events, grand openings, birthday parties, special events and I also work onboard cruise ships touring the Caribbean islands.
There is nothing more enjoyable to me than seeing a smile on the face of the child sitting in my chair. That is such a rewarding experience!
